The Best is Yet to Come…

As I write this, there are officially less than two weeks until my college graduation. I have spent the last four years thinking that the end would just never come. Four years is an awfully long time, ya know. It seemed as though I would always have another summer, another weekend, and another day to play on the beach or watch the sunrise.

And yet, here I am. Finishing my final papers and presentations, studying for my final finals, and trying as hard as I possibly can to make the most of the days I have left as a carefree college student.

I was always told that college would be the best years of my life. At the beginning, I was thrilled at the prospect of beginning those years. But now, I just can’t find it in me to believe that is true. My time in college has been exciting, adventurous, challenging, and incredibly fun. But the best years of my life? No way. I cannot wait to go to Malta. I am thrilled at the joy of working for my (almost) alma mater. I am beyond excited to continue this journey of life.

Here’s the thing: I hope with everything inside of me that the next stage in my life is better than college. And I’m hoping that the years after that are better than the ones I’m about to experience. I hope that I keep meeting friends that are passionate about life. I hope I get to write until my fingers hurt. I hope I get to travel. And I am confident that Jesus is going to continue blowing my mind with His grace, mercy, and immeasurable glory. I’m certain that this is only the beginning of a beautiful journey and I simply can’t wait to continue it. College may be coming to an end, but it’s really just the beginning…

Oh yes, the best is yet to come.
